Lasting Community Impact

A key outcome of the roundtables project is to identify community members who have a particular interest in the importance of news literacy as a foundation for civil and informed discourse and bring them together for discussion, training and engagement around a key issue. The project will support these “ambassadors” with materials, outreach and more opportunities to continue the conversation. The local news literacy ambassadors will be networked together and connected to the national News Literacy Project, so they can continue to build capacity for thoughtful, informed news consumption in their community and beyond.
