Get your work recognized by ASNE O'Brien Fellowship Award for Impact in Public Service Journalism

If your organization has outstanding individual or team work that helps to solve a community or societal issue and leads to significant changes in laws, regulations or other demonstrated results, then consider submitting it to the O'Brien Fellowship Award for Impact in Public Service Journalism in the 2018 ASNE Awards by 11:59 p.m. EST Tuesday, Jan. 30

Sponsored by the O'Brien Fellowship in Public Service Journalism at the Diederich College of Communication at Marquette University, the award comes with a $2,500 prize and requires the winning individual or team to visit Marquette for a symposium and related events to share their expertise with students and faculty and show how they produced their award-winning journalism.

Last year, the O'Brien Fellowship Award went to the Panama Papers reporting team, The Center for Public Integrity's International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, McClatchy, the Miami Herald and more than 100 other media partners for the breadth of their reporting, the strength of the partnership that yielded this effort and the global impact that resulted.

For questions, contact ASNE Senior Information Specialist Megan Morrison at mschumacher@asne.org or 573-882-3792 or ASNE Communications Coordinator Jiyoung Won at jwon@asne.org or 573-882-2430.
