Join us June 28 for live chat on fighting for access

Threats to newsgathering at the federal, state and local levels are increasing in form and severity. Fights for access to records and meetings have become more challenging. That's certainly the case when seeking to interview sources as government officials are employing new tactics to manage their message and control the narrative.

Finding new ways to gain access seems to come with new costs as hostility against the media has reached an all-time high, resulting in physical assault and arrests, the likes of which we haven't seen in the past. Confidential sources create risks for the journalist and source alike.

To learn more about new developments on all these rights in the fight for access and ways in which you can lead your newsroom in fighting back, join us for our second Expert Series, a monthly live chat on YouTube. We will be live from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. EDT Wednesday, June 28. Watch here.
