A free pre-conference workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. SundaySept. 11, will explore lessons from the Knight-Temple "Table Stakes" Project, which brings together four major media organizations, The Dallas Morning News, the Philadelphia Media Network, the Miami Herald and the Minneapolis Star Tribune, to act as testing grounds for new mobile and digital practices. Join project leader Douglas K. Smith and representatives from the four participating newsrooms to learn new tools and techniques in developing a digital-first newsroom culture.
