Register today and don't miss out on great programming at ASNE-APME News Leadership Conference Sept. 11-14 in Philly!

The 2016 ASNE-APME News Leadership Conference kicks off in less than 10 weeks in Philadelphia! Here are four things you don't want to miss.

1. Tools and Techniques for Digital Success: Lessons from the Knight-Temple "Table Stakes" Project
Find out whether your newsroom is truly digital-first and positioned to compete for audiences during this pre-conference workshop focused on what it takes to be "in the game of news" in the 21st century. Join project leader Douglas K. Smith and leaders from the four participating newsrooms to learn key questions you should be asking about your newsroom operation and culture, what kind of commitment is needed to transition and how to use tools and techniques created during the project.
The workshop is FREE but has limited space and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to those who are registered to attend the conference. Email ASNE Communications Coordinator Jiyoung Won at jwon@asne.org to save your spot now!

2. Coffee with Your Counsel
Grab a coffee and start your day with an informative session with two of the best First Amendment legal minds in the business! ASNE Legal Counsel Kevin Goldberg with law firm of Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth, P.L.C., and attorney Terry Mutchler with Pepper Hamilton LLC will answer any and all questions that you might have to help you better understand the laws that affect your everyday work.

3. Startups and Reboots

This is an era of constant innovation; new media organizations spring up, old ones re-imagine themselves, and maturing organizations branch out. Hear from editors who have built or rebuilt media organizations from the bottom up for the 21st-century digital world about how they did it, what they learned and what they would do differently. Moderated by Sybril Bennett, journalism professor at Belmont University. Featured panelists: Kevin Merida, editor-in-chief, The Undefeated; John Harris, publisher and editor-in-chief, POLITICO; Sharon Waxman, CEO and editor-in-chief, The Wrap; and Jay Allred, publisher, Richland Source

A popular Philly jazz quartet, featuring Tanqueray Hayward, one of the city's top jazz vocalists, will entertain throughout the evening.

All conference sessions, except for the opening reception, will take place at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, our conference hotel, at 1201 Market St.
