We hope you saw our report on the 2015 ASNE Newsroom Employment Census that was released Tuesday. We also posted all the relevant numbers in 15 detailed tables. The census was in the spotlight as soon as we released the results and has received both national and international publicity through detailed analyses and social media.

Among the highlights was the relatively stable percentage of minorities in newsrooms at 12.76 percent despite the double-digit decline in overall newsroom employment. Also, similar to what we found in last year's census, 63 percent of U.S. daily newspapers have at least one woman among their top three editors.

This year's census was made possible thanks to the funding provided by the Robert R. McCormick Foundation. ASNE joined forces for the first time with The School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Florida International University to collect and analyze the data.
