Here are a few highlights of Hacking News Leadership that will be beneficial to you.
Saturday Lunch Keynote: Trei Brundrett, chief product officer for Vox Media, will speak about developing a digital deep cuts collaborative hit factory with design and technology.
Saturday Happy Hour: Join us at Freedmen's Barbeque from 5 to 7 p.m., sponsored by The Texas Tribune, and get to know your colleagues.
Sunday Breakfast Keynote: Mark Stencel, digital fellow of The Poynter Institute, will talk about the news priorities and institutional barriers that separate journalism's digital "haves" and "have-nots," as examined by the Reporters' Lab at Duke University's DeWitt Wallace Center for Media and Democracy.
Sunday closing session: From 11 a.m. to noon, we'll discuss practices and solutions that give news organizations guidance on how to weave innovation into the daily pressures of news operation and how to invest in technology and talent. Moderator: Robyn Tomlin, editor of Digital First Media's Project Thunderdome.
