Online voting deadline is Friday night for Board of Directors


Cast your vote now at asne.org for the ASNE Board of Directors. There are 11 candidates running for seven seats -- five three-year terms and two two-year terms.

You must be a member and vote for exactly 7 candidates. The electronic polls close at midnight PST on Friday, June 21. Members who do not vote online can vote in person at ASNE's annual convention, June 24-26 in Washington, D.C. The voting will close at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, and the winners will be announced that evening.

All you need is your last name and email address to enter the online ballot. You must be a member and vote for exactly 7 candidates.

  • Lucy Dalglish, Dean of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland

  • Anders Gyllenhaal, VP of news/Washington Editor at McClatchy
     
  • Mark Katches, Editorial director for The Center for Investigative Reporting
     
  • Karen Magnuson, Editor & Vice President/News, Democrat and Chronicle, Rochester, N.Y.
     
  • Dori Maynard, President, Maynard Institute
     
  • Michael Oreskes, Vice President and Senior Managing Editor of The Associated Press
     
  • Emily Ramshaw, Editor of The Texas Tribune
     
  • Melanie Sill, Executive Editor at Southern California Public Radio
     
  • Robyn Tomlin, Editor of Digital First Media's Project Thunderdome
     

Gyllenhaal, Oreskes and Sill are incumbents running for their second terms on the board.
 
Remember, you must be a member to vote, and you can only vote for seven of the candidates.
