It is time to recognize a leader who has made a major difference on behalf of an American news organization. Candidates for ASNE´s 2010 Award for Editorial Leadership must be nominated by Feb. 1.
The honoree will be named at the ASNE convention in April.
We´re seeking to honor a leader for a chapter, or a career, (or preferably, for a chapter consistent with a career) of outstanding leadership on behalf of a news organizations in the Americas. The nominee can be a top editor, an assignment editor or a person from outside the newsroom who has championed great journalism. In other words, this award doesn´t stand on title. And those nominated don´t have to be ASNE members.
We want to cast a wide net.
It is also linked to from the editorial leadership award page, where you can find a list of previous honorees.
We hope you will help give the Leadership Committee an outstanding field from which to choose the winner of what we believe is one of the news industry´s most prestigious awards. Thank you.
