Money to help you grow local youth journalism

If your news organization is willing to mentor local youth during 2009-10 school year, ASNE's High School Journalism Initiative can help with a $2,500 grant.

If your news organization is willing to mentor local youth during 2009-10 school year, ASNE's High School Journalism Initiative can help with a $2,500 grant.

The immediate goal of ASNE Partnerships is to create high school news outlets where they don't currently exist or dramatically improve existing ones. Longer term, these partnerships help diverse school communities learn news literacy and inspire some to make journalism a career.

The grant is administered by the news organization and used by the school to purchase software and hardware needed to produce student news online. We'll help everyone along with a free site on http://my.highschooljournalism.org.
