The 2018 ASNE-APME News Leadership Conference Sept. 11-12 kicks off in five days at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center in Austin, Texas.
Here are 11 things to let you know!
1. Have you registered?
Register for the conference if you haven't. We have special rates for members of ASNE and APME, including retired members, spouses, students and APME's Regents.
Lunch tickets are $40 each for Sept. 11 and 12.
2. Need a hotel room?
Our discounted group rate in the ASNE-APME block at the onsite hotel at the conference center (1900 University Ave., Austin, TX 78705) expired, but the hotel might still have rooms available outside our block. You can call the hotel at 512-404-1900 and ask or check out these other hotels nearby.

4. Getting from the airport to the hotel
Our online schedule is easy to navigate through a number of sessions and events we have planned for you. Remember, we will not have print copies of the program.

Come celebrate and honor the winners of the 2018 ASNE and APME awards for best journalism, who showed the positive impact of watchdog reporting and shed light on issues affecting underrepresented communities. The reception is scheduled for 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12. There will be appetizers and a cash bar.
8. Porch party with ONA Local, GateHouse Media and Austin American-Statesman
Tickets to the free porch party on the night of Sept. 12 are sold out, but ASNE has a limited number of tickets set aside for its members. Email ASNE Communications Coordinator Jiyoung Won at jwon@asne.org if you want to claim your ticket.
