Special rates are also available for retired members, spouses, students and APME's Regents. Lunch tickets ($40 a piece) for Tuesday, Sept. 11, and Wednesday, Sept. 12, can be purchased during registration.

4. Registration open for a porch party with ONA Local

Wrap up your ASNE-APME conference experience on the night of 
Sept. 12 by attending a free bat viewing party planned by GateHouse Media, the Austin American-Statesman and ONA Local Austin as part of ONA18, which kicks off Sept. 13. There will be local food trucks Rollin Smoke (BBQ) and Juana Taco (tacos -- yum!), as well as Fingerpistola two-time Austin Music Award-winning country dance band that combines tried-and-true country classics with crowd-pleasing originals. Register now to enjoy some of the things that Austin offers: millions of bats, tasty tacos, cold beers and cocktails, and twangy live music!

5. ASNE-APME hotel room rate no longer available
