Get your innovative journalism recognized by ASNE Punch Sulzberger Award for Online Storytelling

If your organization has innovative work in the use of digital tools to tell news stories, then consider submitting it to the Punch Sulzberger Award for Online Storytelling category in the 2018 ASNE Awards by 11:59 p.m. EST Tuesday, Jan. 30.

Sponsored by The New York Times, the Punch Sulzberger Award considers strong writing, narrative skill, engaging graphical and visual elements, and compelling audio.

Arthur Sulzberger
The award, which comes with a $2,500 cash prize, is dedicated to the memory of former publisher Arthur Ochs "Punch" Sulzberger. In 1963, he became the youngest publisher in Times history at age 37. He chose to publish excerpts of the Pentagon Papers in 1971, a move that earned the newspaper a Pulitzer Prize the following year. He died in 2012.
