Condolences on former ASNE executive director's death

The American Society of News Editors is saddened to share that former ASNE Executive Director Angelo "Gene" Giancarlo passed away March 20, 2017. He was 91.
Giancarlo became the executive director of the then American Society of Newspaper Editors in 1963. He ran an annual convention for more than 900 members, edited a monthly magazine and worked on other administrative matters.
