ASNE Communications Committee looking for members

The ASNE Communications Committee is working to improve the flow of information between the organization and news leaders across the country. We also think ASNE is uniquely positioned to host pop-up conversations on topics that can help all of us navigate these trying and interesting times.
Specifically, we're looking for a dozen or so editors to join our committee and help with these three projects for 2017:
  1. Host a monthly online hangout for editors, beginning as soon as March, on a pressing news leadership topic of the day. Help select topics, choose speakers, and host conversations that inform the way each of us leads our organizations.
  2. Establish a breaking news feed at asne.org that tracks editor promotions and job transfers. Here is a template form that makes reporting easy and can make ASNE the go-to source for news about industry leaders.
  3. Improve ASNE's social media presence leading up to and during the ASNE-APME News Leadership Conference Oct. 8-11 in Washington, D.C.
Most committee communication will take place via email with monthly phone chats to keep us on track. This is a great way to step up your ASNE involvement without an overcommitment of time.

Sign up on this Google doc by today if you'd like to pitch in.
