2015 ASNE Board of Directors

The ASNE Board of Directors added six new members and a new executive committee during the Sunday, Oct. 18, board meeting at the ASNE-APME #editors3D conference at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. Pam Fine of The University of Kansas was ratified as the 2015 ASNE president. She succeeds 2014 ASNE President Chris Peck.

ASNE's executive committee approved by the new board:
- Vice President Mizell Stewart III, Journal Media Group, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Secretary Alfredo Carbajal, Al Día (The Dallas Morning News), Dallas
- Treasurer Nancy Barnes, Houston Chronicle, Houston, Texas
Five directors elected for three-year terms:
- Manny Garcia, editor, Naples Daily News (Naples, Florida)
- Brian McGrory, editor, The Boston Globe
- Karen Peterson, editor, The News Tribune (Tacoma, Washington)
- Robyn Tomlin, managing editor, The Dallas Morning News
- Anne Vasquez, managing editor, Sun Sentinel (Ft. Lauderdale, Florida)
One director elected for one-year term:
- Rene Sanchez, editor, Minneapolis Star Tribune
