Read this article by All Digitocracy that features last year's institute participant Cara Owsley, visual journalist/photojournalist at the Cincinnati Sun, who shares what she learned from the institute. She said the training helped her become more vocal in addressing issues involved with covering minority events that are often overlooked.

The American Press Institute, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Loyola University Chicago's School of Communication and the Scripps Howard Foundation are our generous sponsors.
