Kickoff session: Share your expectations and vocabulary

Hacking News Leadership: Part 2 Dec. 6-7 will begin with this icebreaker session "Five things I wish my _____ understood." Participants will have the opportunity to share and discuss things that editors need to know to understand data/technology specialists and vice versa.

Editors and data/technology specialists can sometimes experience the frustration of not sharing the same language and knowledge, especially when they work closely as a team. To help key newsroom stakeholders share expectations and vocabulary, we will begin Hacking News Leadership: Part 2 with "Five things I wish my _______ understood." Editors will talk about things they want data specialists to know and vice versa. Take a look at our draft of the agenda for more information on sessions and presenters.

As you know, the conference is fast approaching. It will be from 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, to noon Sunday, Dec. 7.
