The American Society of News Editors 2013 convention opens Monday at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C.
Sen. Marco Rubio is the keynote luncheon speaker on Tuesday. Twitter CEO, Dick Costolo, is the keynote luncheon speaker on Wednesday.
In between, there will be panel discussions and speakers on topics ranging from the future of print to the presence of pay models.
We'll explore innovation and what the audience is telling us about the future of news.

We'll explore innovation and what the audience is telling us about the future of news.
We'll debate the government vs. the press.
We'll stress the importance of news literacy; the need for diversity in our organizations; and explore efforts to improve our reliability in regard to errors, plagiarism and fabrication.
And we will not only will celebrate our craft by hearing from the ASNE Awards winners but will celebrate and honor two breakthrough female editors who have been blazing journalistic trails for two generations of women in the news business: Sandy Rowe and Jill Abramson.
