Patrice McDermott publishes op-ed on open government

The executive director of openthegovernment.org recently wrote an article for thehill.com.
ASNE is a member of the steering committee of openthegovernment.org, a coalition of activists united in the effort to make the federal government a more open place. The purpose of the website is to make American citizens safer, strengthen public trust in government and support democratic principles.
 
Openthegovernment.org Executive Director Patrice McDermott recently published this op-ed offering suggestions to the Obama Administration regarding increased transparency in government. This article echoes ASNE's own goals, and the Society continues to be an active proponent of open government.
