Film salutes editing professor, internship program

To celebrate 50 years of the Dow Jones News Fund summer editing internships, alumnus Terry O'Toole commissioned a short film honoring Edward Trayes who has taught for 50 summers at Temple University. The film features ASNE Foundation President David Boardman, dean of the Klein College of Media and Communication at Temple, William G. Connolly, formerly of The New York Times, and alumni. It’s a tribute to an educator and the role of good editing in ensuring fair, trustworthy media.

ASNE trained a diverse class of 25 emerging news leaders this past weekend at the Emerging Leaders Institute at Loyola University Chicago.
