Free training opportunities for emerging, mid-level news leaders

 
The application deadline for the Minority Leadership Institute at NAHJ/RTDNA/SPJ Sept. 17-18 prior to the Excellence in Journalism conference is Friday, Sept. 11. Editors, nominate your emerging leaders to attend this free leadership and management training on goal-setting, strategies, leadership style, driving diversity, and technology and innovation. 

The deadline for the institute at ASNE-APME is Friday, Aug. 28. To help pay for the expenses, ASNE will reimburse part of the travel costs and one night of hotel expenses for both institutes.

Stanford's d.school offers free workshop to #EDITORS3D attendees

 
Those who are registered to attend the ASNE-APME conference Oct. 16-18 at Stanford University can sign up for a free pre-conference workshop offered by Stanford's d.school. It will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16. 

Only a few slots remain open for this workshop. They will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact ASNE's Communications Coordinator Jiyoung Won to sign up.
